Elaine Neinas
Elaine D. (Hasenjager) Neinas, 88, of Sturgeon Bay passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Door County Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born on June 25, 1937, in Egg Harbor, the daughter of Orville and Amanda (Bley) Hasenjager. She graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1955. She married Donald Neinas on June 26, 1957, at St. Peters Lutheran Church and they enjoyed 68 years together. Elaine had a true gift for baking, cooking and canning. Sunday lunches were enjoyed by family and friends. She cherished the time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Elaine is survived by her husband Donald; seven children: Dona (Mark) Dufeck, Dale Neinas, Judeen (Dan) Hanson, Jay (Jackie) Neinas, Janel (Ken) Borkovetz, Delane Neinas, and Jeff (Jennnifer) Neinas; grandchildren: Sara (Chad) Baudhuin, Caitlin Neinas, Carissa (Jeremy) Kimber, Tiffany (Martin) Kelsey, Cole Hanson, Levi (Cassie) Hoeckendorff, Austin (Jessica) Hoeckendorff, Tracy (Scott) Ripp, Brandon (Lacey) Borkovetz, Cassie (Kyle) Nielson, Lindsay (Ben) Fredrick, MaKayla (Wes Renard) Neinas and many precious great grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, Donald Haenjager, Glenn (Penny) Hasenjager, Leon (Rosemary) Hasenjager, Clyde (Linda) Hasenjager and sister Linda Moore; sister-in-law Mary Herlache, and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Allan (Audrey) Hasenjager, sisters, June (Clyde) Kreutter and Audrey (Elton) Neinas; in-laws, Anita Hasenjager, Barb Hasenjager, Kerry Moore, Albert (Mary) Neinas, Elmer Neinas, Gladys Neinas, Lorene (John) Moore, Marilyn (Norman) Voeks, Clarice (Ray) Ripp, Carl Herlache; and daughter-in-law Kathy Neinas. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2025, at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay. Burial will be at Bayside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
