Lynn Charles Schmidt

Lynn Charles Schmidt, 77 years, of Sturgeon Bay, was called home on Monday December 1, 2025 while at Door County Medical Center.

The eleventh born of 13 children he was welcomed March 27, 1948 in Sturgeon Bay the son of Ottmar and Marion (Pfeifer) Schmidt. He graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 1966.

For the past 21 years he enjoyed working at NEW Industries, and was still currently employed as a manual lathe operator, tool and die. On November 16, 1998 he married Nancy Helen Sipiorski at Sturgeon Bay Moravian Church. He enjoyed fixing, remodeling and repairing anything that needed it.

Surviving family include his wife, Nancy; three children, Tamara Schmidt of Green Bay, Jeremy (Lorrie) Schmidt of Sturgeon Bay, Zachary (Michelle) Schmidt of Sturgeon Bay; two step-children, Sonya Soper of Sturgeon Bay, Jason (Jennifer) Soper of Sturgeon Bay; eight grandchildren, Lillian, Reya, Reed and Max Schmidt, Mason Soper, Dalton Stich, Hannah Soper, and Logan Soper; nine siblings, Jean Olson of Texas, Bill Schmidt of Minneapolis, Robert (Dianne) Schmidt of Sturgeon Bay, Jim (Helen) Schmidt of Orlando, FL, JoAnn McCarty of Sturgeon Bay, Mary (Ron) Wallenfang of Germantown, Eileen (Dick) Grenki of Sussex, Joe (Mary) Schmidt of Sturgeon Bay, and Paula (Chuck) Lund of Oakfield, WI. Preceding him in death was his parents, Ottmar and Marion Schmidt and three siblings, Pat Schmidt, Marge Massart, and Ottmar Schmidt Jr.
