Patti Buechner

Patti Buechner, 78, of Forestville, passed away on December 11, 2025.

She was born May 21, 1947, in Dodgeville, WI to William and Romelle (Carley) Quirk and grew up in Belmont, WI. After graduating from high school, Patti got married and raised her four children in Manitowoc. While raising her children, she also worked as a school bus driver for Manitowoc Public School System.

In March of 1988, she married Leon Buechner in Michigan. Together, they worked on their farm in the Town of Forestville for many years. Patti later worked as a driver and delivery person for Sunshine House Resources until her retirement. Patti loved crocheting, canning, and was a fabulous cook and baker. She took pride in her garden and keeping a nice house. She relished and enjoyed a good cup of coffee anytime she could. Most of all, Patti loved the Lord. She was a long-time attender at the First Baptist Church of Sturgeon Bay, where she worshiped the Lord and grew in her faith. Her Christian faith was what defined her and guided her in life. She is now experiencing the glorious joys of heaven with her Lord and Savior because of her faith in Jesus.

She is survived by her husband Leon, her children, Mari (Mark) Moore, Robert Young, Jeffery (Christine) Young, and Roger Young; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Nancy (Tim) Burggren, Diana Miles, and Sherry Quirk; Leon’s children, Greg (Kimberly) Buechner, Brian (Simone) Buechner, and Brad (Ardie) Buechner; Leon’s 4 grandchildren; and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and Leon’s son John.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Sturgeon Bay with the Rev. Cory Dahl officiating. Burial will be at Schumacher Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family.
