Evelyn Breider

Evelyn Janet Breider beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother passed away at the age of 92 on Nov. 29, 2025 at St. Vincents Hospital in Green Bay.

Evelyn was born on February 23, 1933, to Henry and Dagmar (Indergaard) Johnsen in Chicago, Illinois. Evelyn married the love of her life John H. Breider Jr. on February 2, 1952. She raised her children in Des Plaines, IL and was active with the Boy and Girl Scouts.

Later, she moved to Sturgeon Bay, WI, where she volunteered at the Door County Memorial Hospital Gift Shop and became an active member of Hainesville Lutheran Church until her passing.

She was a loving caregiver whose family was her life. She showed this by taking special trips with them, cooking for them, and baking delicious treats. She will long be remembered for the coffee cakes she made for family and friends.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Dagmar, brother Henry, husband John of 56 years and her daughter Barbara. Evelyn is survived by a brother Norman Johnsen; sons, Paul (Pam) and John, and daughter Joanne; grandchildren, Brian (Stephanie), Janet (Kevin), Jeffery, Tiffany (John), Elizabeth (Taylor), Kyle (Katalina), Kim (Collin), Greg, and Robert; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Henry, Logan, Asher, Landon, Bostyn, and Theodore.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at Hainesville Lutheran Church, burial will be in Hainesville Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of service. Forbes Funeral Home is serving the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hainesville Lutheran Church.
