Gregg D. Barta

Gregg D. Barta, 60 years, of Sturgeon Bay, died peacefully Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay with his family by his side. He was born October 21, 1965 in Milwaukee and adopted March 17, 1966 by David and Theresa (Froelich) Barta. Gregg graduated from Greendale High School in 1983. On April 26, 1997, he married Tina Marie Pichette at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Maplewood. He was employed with Hatco in Sturgeon Bay for nearly 29 years and retired as shift assembly team leader. He was a great water skier, active in bowling leagues, and enjoyed golfing, bowling and performing in Air Band competitions. Gregg was super proud of his children, Natasha and Gary. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his grandchildren who were the light of his life. He enjoyed following Wisconsin sports and was an avid Packer, Brewers and Badger fan. Gregg will be missed by his wife, Tina; mother, Theresa; two children, Natasha (Lain) Sanders, Gary (friend, Morgan Servaes) Barta; two grandchildren, Rylee, Ryder. Preceding him in death were his father, David; twin brother, Gary (1989); grandparents, Gilbert and Margaret Barta, Albert and Regina Froelich; aunts and uncles; and in-laws, Edward and Sharon Pichette. A celebration of his life will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at Huehns Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay with Ann Froelich officiating.
