Scott Sperber, 69, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away suddenly on March 12, 2026, in Las Vegas.
He was born Dec. 30, 1956, in Sturgeon Bay to Willard and Verna (Wierschke) Sperber. On Sept. 22, 1979, he married Suzanne “Sue” Renard at St. Mary of the Snow Church in Namur.
Scott was a 1975 graduate of Southern Door High School. After graduation, he worked for a number of years at Bay Shipbuilding and later hauled milk for Land ‘O Lakes Dairy. He eventually established his own trucking business, Scott Sperber Trucking, which later became S&S Direct Transport. He was still active in the business at the time of his passing.
As an avid outdoorsman, Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trap shooting. He also enjoyed bowling and making yearly trips to Las Vegas where he and Sue had established a great network of friends and acquaintances over the years.
He will be dearly missed by his wife, Sue; four children, Gregg (Marci) of Oronoco, MN, Jeff (Nicole), Ryan (Alexandra), and Korissa, all of Sturgeon Bay; 8 grandchildren, Garett, Elijah, Alivia, Emilee, Quinn, Alex, Lucille and Gwendolyn; 2 sisters, Sandy Groth and Susie DeGrave; mother-in-law Germaine Renard; in-laws Mike and Jodi Renard; and his grand dogs, Curly, Duke and Grace. He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Roy Renard and sister Sharon (Dick)Beschta, and in-laws, Lee Groth and Sandy and Jim Meyer.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 26, 2026, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sturgeon Bay, burial will be in Forestville Town Cemetery. Friends may call at Forbes Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 25, from 2:00 to 7:00 pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
