Fay Mary Ferron, 93, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and teacher, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, surrounded by the love and care of her family.
Born on October 8, 1932, to the late Richard and Eva (Vandertie) Fett. Fay filled her life with beauty and purpose, nurturing both her flowering gardens and the minds of her students throughout her cherished career as a school teacher.
Fay was married to the love of her life, Darrel Ferron for nearly 67 wonderful years. Together, they created a life full of love and laughter. Fay's gardens were a true reflection of her spirit—vibrant, nurturing, and endlessly blooming. Her passion for plants and flowers brought joy not only to her home but also to everyone who knew her.
Fay leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue in the lives of those she touched. Her warmth and kindness will be dearly missed by her husband, Darrel, and all who were fortunate enough to share in her vibrant life.
Fay is survived by her husband, Darrel Ferron; children, Susan (Donald) Fameree, Casco; Mark (Debbie) Ferron, Casco; Julie (Jerry) Routhieaux, Forestville; grandchildren, Shannon (Craig) DeVillers, Amanda (Shawn) Kilgore, Heather (Lyle) Whipp, Nicholas (Samantha) Routhieaux, Nathan (special friend Stacy) Routhieaux; step grandchildren, Heather (Dave) Dachelet, Mike (Wendy) Kipp, and Amanda (Adam) Jankowski; great-grandchildren, Meredith, Waylon, Clay, Carter, Chloe, Lagan, Isabella, Jocelynn, Laila, Ryder, Koda, and Dexter; step great-grandchildren, Dylan, Dalton, Valarie, Violet, Howie, Lily, and Kane; sister, Janice (Frank) Vandermause, Algoma; brothers-in-law, Roger (Patty) Ferron, and Calton (Carol) Ferron; as well as by nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Eva Fett; son, Scott Ferron; in-laws, Jule (Sinie) Ferron; step mother-in-law, Agnes Ferron; sister, Valarie (Robert) Thies; in-laws, Mildred (Mose) Moreau, Laverne (Fritz) Haegele, and Evelyn Ferron; and an infant grandson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 9:00-10:45 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am with Fr. Timothy Machila officiating. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
