Gail B. Kinjerski

Gail B. Kinjerski, 87, passed away peacefully on Saturday evening, May 23, 2026, at home surrounded by the love of her family.

A woman of strength, warmth, beauty, and unwavering spirit, Gail leaves behind a legacy rooted in family, hard work, resilience, and love.

Gail was born on October 12, 1938, in Pilsen to Jacob and Mildred (Libal) Gasche. From a very young age, she learned the value of responsibility and dedication while helping her parents operate the Gasche Country Store. Even as a young girl of only eight years old, Gail assisted in managing the store and helping with the local telephone switchboard that connected the Town of Pilsen — a reflection of the dependable and capable woman she would become.

As a young woman, Gail was known for her magnetic presence, natural beauty, and spirited personality. She possessed a feisty spark that remained with her throughout her life. Independent and hardworking, Gail was ahead of her time, entering the workforce shortly after graduating from Luxemburg High School in 1956. She completed office training at technical school and spent approximately five years working at Millprint in De Pere, Wisconsin, proudly contributing to the workforce during an era when many women were only beginning to carve those paths.

Gail also had an athletic side and a love for sports that stayed with her throughout her life. In her younger years, she was a talented athlete and nearly played for her local high school team. Later in life, she could often be found cheering on the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, enjoying a good game while proudly supporting Wisconsin teams.

On November 18, 1961, Gail married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Kinjerski, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pilsen. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 61 years of marriage before Bob preceded her in death on February 18, 2023. Though they may never have described themselves as adventurous, Gail and Bob created a life filled with meaningful journeys and treasured memories together — from a romantic trip to Niagara Falls to travels out west to Black Hills. Their love was steady, enduring, and deeply rooted in companionship.

Family was always at the center of Gail’s life. She took immense pride in watching her sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and succeed, especially while cheering them on in high school sports, college softball, and track. She was a devoted mother and grandmother whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and strength to those around her.

Gail found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved reading, watching westerns, tending to her roses, irises, and flower gardens, and spending time in the kitchen cooking and baking for those she loved. Her homemade tortes and cakes became staples at birthdays and family celebrations, while her canned pickles, pears, and peaches reflected the care she poured into everything she did. Her closet also stood as loving proof of another favorite pastime — a deep appreciation for QVC shopping.

Gail is survived by four children, Bruce (Nicole Albouras) Kinjerski, Sheboygan, Kevin Kinjerski, Kewaunee, Richard (Carolyn) Kinjerski, Kewaunee, Keith (Alice) Kinjerski, Maribel; six grandchildren, Trista (Kayla) Haberli, Sturgeon Bay, Courtney Kinjerski (special friend Tyler Thompson), Kewaunee, Sierra Witzak, Kewaunee, Isaac Kinjerski, Madison, Aaron Kinjerski (special friend Emilie Dirks), Green Bay, Sophia Kinjerski (special friend Dustin Dworak), Maribel; nine great-grandchildren, Anthony and Cash Haberli, Gracie, Maverick, and Lily Ducat, Aria, Jade, Josie and Cashton Witzak; two sisters, Lynn Blaha, Two Creeks, Sharon Harriss, New York; two brothers-in-law, Paul (Vonnie) Kinjerski, East Krok, Ted (Jeep) Janowski, Athelstane; two sisters-in-law, Rose Kinjerski, New Franken, and Joanne Hegnet, Forestville.
