Sharon M. Junion

Sharon M. Junion, 74 years of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Sturgeon Bay, passed away unexpectedly June 5, 2026, at her home in Phoenix. She was born January 1, 1952 in Sturgeon Bay the daughter of the late Harvey and Regina (Kern) Junion. Sharon graduated from Sevastopol High School in 1970 and then attended Kenosha Tech for Fashion Merchandising. She worked for several years for H.C. Pranges in Sturgeon Bay before deciding to move to San Diego, CA. There she spent many years working for the Broadway Store, managing several departments, and later working for Anna's Linens. Upon her retirement, Sharon moved to Phoenix AZ, where she spent her last 12 years being closer to several family members. She loved to travel in her younger years to Europe, seeing Greece and Turkey, Germany and Switzerland and a trip to Spain. Sharon often returned home to Door County for family visits and to enjoy the fall colors and the Door Peninsula. She will be sadly missed by her family and close friends. Her surviving family includes six siblings, Lynn Sitko of Othello WA, Terry (Linda) Junion of Sturgeon Bay, Debbie (Steve) Schaefer of Sturgeon Bay, Melissa Junion of Phoenix AZ, Michelle (Mark) Holdridge of Sturgeon Bay, Mike (Trish) Junion of Scottsdale AZ; many dear nieces and nephews, Gregg Sitko, Victoria Lynch, Jeff Junion, Chris Junion, Angie Wright, David Schaefer, Alyssa Martin, Megan Giesler, Katie Holdridge, Daniel Holdridge, Allyson Yalch, and Ronnie Reuter; and 14 great-nieces and nephews, including Connor and Nolan Yalch, whom she enjoyed a fond relationship, appreciating their developing personalities and watching them grow up. To the boys, she was known as Aunt Shoo-Shoo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2026 at S.S. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Rappl celebrating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the church August 15, 2026 from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Huehns Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
