Vernon G. Graf, 83, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on July 31, 2026, at Sturgeon Bay Health Services. He was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Sturgeon Bay to Vernon and Alberta (Rockendorf) Graf. Vernon was a graduate of Sturgeon Bay High School and served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. For many years, Vernon would milk cows every morning, go to work for the day and then milk cows every evening. He worked as a meat cutter at Roy’s Red Owl in Sturgeon Bay and for the Red Owl in Green Bay. He later worked at the Baileys Harbor Market. In his free time, Vernon enjoyed deer hunting. He is survived by his sister: Mary Hoerres of Nevada; sister-in-law: Betty Graf of Sturgeon Bay; nieces and nephews: Cathy, Charlie, Mike, Lori, Tracey, Kim, and Paul. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vernon and Alberta Graf; and siblings: Jerry and John Graf, Florence (Charles) Sherry, Ann (Mike) Marchese, and brother-in-law Norman Hoerres. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Corpus Christi Church in Sturgeon Bay. Entombment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery Mausoleum.
