Schneider leads Kolberg to dominant win on 105.1 The GOAT

It was a game dominated by Kolberg after the top of the first inning, as the Braves cruised to a 11-1 victory over the Baileys Harbor A’s on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Lodl got things going early for the A’s to begin the game as he singled under shortstop Tyler Neinas’ glove and was then brought in on a Randy Martinez single into center field. This would be the lone run for Baileys Harbor throughout the game as Jake Schneider would then find his groove.

It would not take long for Kolberg to answer as the Braves designated hitter Trevor Reinhardt would rope a two-run home run over the left field wall to make it 2-1 Kolberg. Reinhardt would then come up to bat in the second inning and hit once again another two-run home run, but this time over the tall fence in right field to give the Braves a 6-1 lead after two.

Starting Pitcher Jake Schneider would dominate the middle innings of the ball game as he would go on a run of eight consecutive strikeouts from the third to fifth inning, and only had a walk to the A’s lead off batter as his mistake throughout those ten batters. Schneider would finish the game with 13 total strikeouts in six innings pitched, giving up seven hits with just one run allowed.

Tyler Neinas had one of the better hitting days for the Braves as he went 3-4 and reached base in all four at bats as he reached on a fielder's choice in the 3rd inning. Kolberg moves to 5-1 and stays atop the DCBL Standings while Baileys Harbor falls to 1-5.
