The Green Bay Rockers were able to salvage one of their two games against the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters, splitting their doubleheader on Wednesday.
In their 11-4 loss, the Rafters scored three runs in the first inning and poured it on after the Rockers got to within one tally in the fifth. The Rafters' Brendan Bobo led the way, going 1-3 with two walks and a home run. The Rockers' Carlos Hernandez nearly matched him, going 2-4 with a solo homer.
The Rockers took the nightcap 6-5 when the Rafters' three-run rally in the sixth inning proved to be not enough. Hernandez, Lukas Schramm, Kendall Ewell, Austin Fawley, and Mateo Matthews all drove in runs in the win.
The Rockers take on the Madison Mallards at 6:05 p.m. on the road.
