Egg Harbor visits Baileys Harbor under the lights on 105.1 The GOAT

Baileys Harbor will have to figure out how to slow down a high-powered Egg Harbor offense as the two teams open the holiday weekend along the lakeshore in Door County Baseball League action Friday night.

The Indians have found no power shortage this season,  scoring at least 19 runs three times this season, including last week's 20-10 victory over Institute. As of June 16th, the Indians had four players among the top hitters in the DCBL, led by Nick Kita's .500 average. Kita's 11 hits were tops among all hitters while Joe Sawyer was among the pitching leaders with 10 strikeouts across 27.1 innings pitched.

The A's have not been able to recapture the magic their first win in three years brought Memorial Day weekend, dropping all of their games since. They were dealt a significant blow with the DCBL's leading batter, Isaac Berkley, had his season end when he broke his arm. The A's tried dodging raindrops but could not dodge the Islanders as they lost their match up to Washington Island 12-1. This marks the first night game of the season for the A's.

Tim Kowols and Reece Robillard will have the call from Baileys Harbor Friday night beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 7:30 p.m.
