Two big innings sent the Green Bay Rockers home with one lopsided 12-5 loss to the Lakeshore Chinooks Wednesday night.
Two unearned runs put the Rockers up 2-1 after two innings, but they would give up six runs in the fourth inning to leave them chasing the host Chinooks the rest of the evening. A Nainoa Cardinez RBI single in the fifth inning and another unearned run in the sixth inning would cut into the lead for the Rockers, but their bullpen would implode again as they gave up four runs in the bottom half of the sixth to doom them the rest of the way. A sacrifice fly by JoJo Jackson would be the last run the Rockers would score as they dropped to 22-16 on the season.
The Rockers return home Thursday to face the Wausau Woodchucks at Capital Credit Union Park at 6:35 p.m.
