Sister Bay and Washington Island fans alike united on Sunday to honor one of its longtime umpires.

Ivan Johnson retired this year from umpiring after serving the role for over 40 years. With Roger Van Lanen, DCL Umpire in Chief, and John Sawyer, League President, playing the part, Johnson accepted an award during the seventh inning of the Bays/Islanders game.

The Door County League will honor its best players on Thursday when they play the Shoreland League in an All-Star exhibition game at Joannes Park in Green Bay. Tim Kowols and Reece Robillard will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the first pitch at 7:30 p.m.
