Institute looks for payback vs. Baileys Harbor on 105.1 The GOAT

The Institute Cubs want to be on the other end of a streak buster Friday night when they welcome the Baileys Harbor A's Friday night after the Door County League dropped their All-Star Game matchup against the Shoreland League 6-4 at Joannes Stadium.

The Cubs are now on the longest losing skid in the Door County Baseball League after falling to the A's earlier this season 6-3. Up until that point, it had been since 2019 since the A's had won a game. A key part of the A's win will be missing after Isaac Berkley broke his arm shortly after the victory. Berkley got on base five times and played strong defense in the victory.

Neither team has won since as the Cubs struggled against West Jacksonport last week in a 19-7 loss. The brightest ray of hope came in the fourth inning when the Cubs took advantage of three walks and three hit batsmen to score six runs, capitalized by RBI singles by Quin Schram and Kyle Ploor that drove in three of the six runs. The A's were shut out by Maplewood 4-0.

Tim Kowols and Jacob Nate will have the call from Institute Friday night on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 7:30 p.m.
