Brewers drop opener to Phillies

After sweeping the Cincinnati Reds over the weekend, the Milwaukee Brewers were unable to overcome the Philadelphia Phillies on the road in a 4-3 loss Tuesday night.  The Phillies tallied single runs in the first three innings off Brewer starter Julio Teheran and added their last run in the bottom of the fifth after Milwaukee scored two in the top of the frame.

Andruw Monasterio lead the Brewers with two hits and scored two runs, but Milwaukee could only manage four hits off Philly Starter Aaron Nola (9-6).  Teheran took the loss and is now 2-4.  Both teams will face off at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday with Colin Rea going against Cristopher Sanchez.

The Brewers (52-43) maintain a 2.5 game lead over the Reds in the N.L. Central.
