The high school season in Wisconsin is months away, but wrestlers from Luxemburg-Casco and Sturgeon Bay are getting their work in during the 2023 US Marine Corps USAW 16U, Junior National Wrestling Championships in Fargo, ND.

Madsen will also compete in the 16U Greco-Roman Tournament, which continues through Saturday.
Across the border in Canada, Tiani Lemieux represented Wisconsin in the North American Indigenous Games held in Halifax, Canada with a silver medal-winning performance. The Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol state qualifier won her first three matches against Hannah Dedam (New Brunswick), Chasity St.John (Nunavut), and Jade Shalton (Ontario) before falling to Alberta's Danyka Mikyl LaBelle.
