Cubs, Mets look for bounce back on 104.1 WRLU

The Institute Cubs and the Maplewood Mets hope Friday night cures their ails when they face each other in Door County League baseball action.

The Mets still have an outside chance at a playoff spot if they can end the season on a hot streak with a little help. West Jacksonport dealt a blow to those hopes last week when they topped the Mets 9-6 at home. Kordell Draves kept the Mets in the game with a pair of homers, complemented by Tory Jandrin's own home run in the fifth inning.

The Cubs are playing for pride at this point of the season as their last game under the lights against Baileys Harbor provided them with their only win of the season. Quin Schram kept up his batting average with another successful day at the plate, but that was about it as the Cubs fell to Kolberg 28-1.

Tim Kowols and Reece Robillard will have the call on 104.1 WRLU and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first pitch at 7:30 p.m. Below you will find the rest of DCL slate for the weekend, including our broadcast of Sister Bay/Egg Harbor on Sunday.
