Rockers shut out Dock Spiders

The Green Bay Rockers' pitching staff rebounded from a rough Sunday to throw a shutout against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders Monday night, winning the game 3-0.

The crowd of just over 1,000 people had to wait until the ninth inning as the Rockers' Grayson Walker and the Dock Spiders' Amar Tsengeg pitched into the seventh inning without giving up a run. The Rockers finally struck in the ninth, registering three of their four hits in the final frame with Jayson Jones and AJ Anzai driving in runs and Andrew Harris coming home on a balk. The Dock Spiders were able to get one guy aboard in the ninth, but could not bring him around against Michael Riley the closer.

The Rockers are back in action on Wednesday when they host the Dock Spiders at 6:35 p.m.
