A's blown out by Kolberg on 105.1 The GOAT

The Kolberg Braves showed why they have one of, if not the best offense in the Door County Baseball League, as they defeated the Baileys Harbor A’s 13-3 in eight innings.

Kolberg raced out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning as Austin Rohe doubled to begin action for the Braves, he would then be scored on an Austin Dart single. Dart and Jake Schneider would come on on a Sam Koss 2 RBI single, and the Braves took advantage of the A’s early.

Baileys Harbor would answer in the bottom of the inning, as Randy Martinez singled home Matt Francesconi, and it was 3-1. The A’s would then be quieted by an outstanding pitching performance from Jake Schneider, going five innings and striking out eight batters. Kolberg would score a run in every inning but the third inning until the eighth, as Devin Schinktgen and Jake Schneider were responsible for scoring six combined runs of the 13 Kolberg put on the board.

Marcus Reinhardt, Kyle Daoust, and Carson Leist came in with relief for the Braves, as only Daoust had a blip on the radar, walking three batters and giving up a single for the final two runs for Baileys Harbor.

Jace Johnson, Aaron Brey, and Collin Strege were the relief pitchers for Baileys Harbor, who had Jon Kordon as their starting pitcher, who was the losing pitcher on the day. Kolberg moves to 10-3 and is still fighting for the top seed with Sister Bay, while Baileys Harbor falls to 1-12.
