If you wanted a crack at the Chief Kahquados Invitational course this month, you might have a chance to do so without being a high school student.

Gibraltar Area Schools announced last week that it would host its first 2.1M Open for community members and alumni at 1 p.m. ahead of its traditional cross-country race. The race sends runners onto the course which crosses into Peninsula State Park. Registration begins at 12:15 p.m. and it is limited to the first 100 participants.
