Rockers rocked by Mallards

The Green Bay Rockers could not push any runs across the plate while the Madison Mallards were able to do it at will in a 13-0 win.

The Mallards outhit the host Rockers 14-7 as the visitors also took advantage of nine walks. Catcher David Melfi did most of the damage for the Mallards, slugging two home runs while driving in five. The Mallards' Davis Hamilton and Alex Harrell also homered in the game while also joining Cal Fisher with multi-RBI games.

Max Mims was the only Rockers players to have more than one hit on the night and on a night where the Mallards had seven extra-base hits, they could not muster one. Grayson Walker took the loss for the Rockers, failing to go two innings while giving up five runs on three homers in addition to four other hits.

The Rockers will try to make up for Monday when they face the Mallards again Tuesday at 6:35 p.m. at Capital Credit Union Park.
