Packers make roster moves ahead of Cincinnati trip

Several Green Bay Packers were let go before the team took their training camp activities to Cincinnati for the rest of the week.

Shortly after wrapping up Family Night, the Packers released QB Danny Etling, making the race for the backup job behind Jordan Love smaller with draft pick Sean Clifford and USFL MVP Alex McGough competing for the spot.

The Packers announced Monday it had signed RB Nate McCrary after he originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2021 from Saginaw Valley State. He has also spent time on the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, and Cleveland Browns in various roles.

In maybe Monday's biggest news, LB Rashan Gary was removed from the physically unable to perform list. He still won't see 11 on 11 reps, but you will be able to catch him in individual work, which he started in earnest on Monday.

The Packers will practice against the Bengals in Cincinnati this week before they face each other in an exhibition game on Friday.
