Brewers come back to beat Rockies in 10th inning on error

The Milwaukee Brewers battled back and prevailed over the Colorado Rockies Wednesday afternoon 7-6 in extra innings.  Thanks to a throwing error that allowed Mark Canhu to score from third base with two outs in the 10th inning the Brewers were able to win the series over the Rockies.

Milwaukee fell behind early when Pittsburg scored four runs in the fourth inning off Brewer starter Adrian Howser.  The Brewers rallied with three runs in the bottom of the frame with Tyrone Taylor delivering a key two-run double to left field.

Back-to-back home runs by Willy Adames and Andruw Monasterio catapulted the Brewers to a 5-4 lead in the fifth inning.

The Rockies managed to tie the game in the seventh inning before the dramatic walk-of win in the tenth.

After Colorado scored a run off reliever Bryce Wilson (4-0) in the top half of the inning, Milwaukee scored on an RBI double by Mark Canhu and then won it on Monasterio's gounder to short that was thrown away at first base allowing Canhu to score the winning run.

Milwaukee (62-54) will now take Thursday off before traveling to Chicago to start a nine-game road trip against the White Sox on Friday.
