Football Round-up: Sevastopol falls; Luxemburg-Casco, Kewaunee, Southern Door all on NRSN

A local rivalry will be renewed on Friday as 11-player football enters its second week of the season and Eight-Player football opens its season.

 

The return to the gridiron proved to be fruitful for Valley Christian as they left Institute with a 28-14 victory over Sevastopol Thursday night.

 

The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans travel to Kewaunee to take on the Storm in a renewal of an old rivalry Friday night in a non-conference football matchup. The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on 104.1 WRLU and the kick-off set for 7 p.m. from Kewaunee High School.  Paul Schmitt and Henry Annen will have the play-by-play of the game which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.

 

Southern Door will look to improve on its shutout victory last week when they play at Brillion Friday night. The pregame is set for 6:45 p.m. on U 102.1 and the kick-off set for 7 p.m. from Brillion. Jacob Nate and Reece Robillard will have the play-by-play of the game which will also be streamed on New Radio Sports Network.

 

You will have to wait an extra day for Eight-Player football action after Algoma's game was canceled for Friday night. Gibraltar will host Montello on Saturday afternoon. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 3:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening kick at 4 p.m.
