The wait for another volleyball season ends for a number of teams on Friday, including the Luxemburg-Casco Spartans.

The Spartans will compete in the Beast of the Northeast Tournament at the Champions Center in Appleton. They are scheduled to play Ripon at noon, Kingsford (MI) at 2 p.m., and West Salem at 5 p.m. The Spartans saw their streak of state tournament runs end last season as they fell to eventual champion Xavier in the sectional round.

Gibraltar looks for their first victory of the season at Central Wisconsin Christian when they play in a tournament featuring Crandon, Deerfield, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Hustisford, Laona-Wabeno, Living Word Lutheran, North Fond du Lac, Parkview, Sheboygan Christian, and Sheboygan Lutheran. Action begins at 1 p.m.

Sevastopol looks to continue its successful start of the season with a tournament in Wisconsin Dells at the Just a Game Fieldhouse beginning at 9 a.m. Rhinelander, Oshkosh North, Antigo, Cedarburg, Wisconsin Dells, Bruce, Clintonville, Dodgeland, Fall River, Peshtigo, Riverdale, Royall, Shawano Community, Sheboygan North, Rio Community, and Lake Mills will also compete. 

Algoma heads to Reedsville for some of its first matches of the season, facing Kiel, Mishicot, Roncalli, Sheboygan South, Two Rivers, and Winnebago Lutheran Academy beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Kewaunee will build on its win on Wednesday with a Friday tournament at Hilbert at 8 a.m. with the host school, Brillion, Cambria-Friesland, Kohler, and Valders joining in on the action.
