Packers trim roster to 53, other moves coming

The Green Bay Packers took the first step in establishing their 2023 53-man roster for the season on Tuesday by making 36 player cuts.

The list of players released included two draft picks in wide receiver Grant DuBose and running back Lew Nichols (with an injury settlement).

The other players cut who may end up on the 16-player practice squad include:  quarterback Alex McGough;  running backs Patrick Taylor and Nate McCray, linebackers Marvin Pierre, Keshawn Banks, Jimmy Phillips, Jr., Kenneth, Odumegwu and Arron Mosby; wide receivers Dre Miller, Duece Watts, Jadakis Bonds, Cody Chrest, and Bo Melton;  tight end Austin Allen, cornerbacks Shemar Jean-Charles, Kiondre Thomas, Corey Ballentine, William Hooper, Tyrell Ford, and Elijah Hamilton; defensive linemen Antonio Moultrie, Chris Slayton and Jason Lewan; tight end Henry Pearson; safeties Innis Gaines, Benny Sapp III and Tarvarius Moore; offensive linemen Cole Schneider, Jean Delance, James Empey and Kadeem Telfort, long snappers Matt Orzech and Broughton Hatcher.

The Packers placed tight end Tyler Davis on the injured list.
