DCU visits New London for swim meet

The Door County United Swim Team looks to continue their positive start to the season when they swim against New London.

In their last meet, the team finished first overall scoring a total of 136 points at their home relays meet. The team finished 30 points higher than the second place team, New London High School. DCU finished 1st overall in 3 out of the 11 events of the night. In the remaining 8 events, the team never finished below 3th place. One of the first place relays consisted of Cassie Rankin (SEV), Kailyn Neville (SDHS), Julia Michalski (SBHS), and Anna Massart (SDHS). They earned the top finish for the 750 Yard Freestyle Relay, finishing about 18 seconds faster than the second place team. The relay of Emma Moyer (SDHS), Paula Weinke (SBHS), Shambo Wienke (SBHS), and Anika Steinbach (SBHS) finished third in the 200 Yard Reverse Medley Relay. Anika Steinbach helped the group secure that spot on the podium by surpassing at least two teams in the final 50 yards of the relay.
