Kewaunee's Cullen, Miller lead local runners at De Pere Invite

Several local teams participated in one of the biggest meets to kick off the season on the campus of UW-Green Bay for the De Pere Invitational.

 

Over 200 kids participated in each of the two varsity races with Kewaunee runners finishing ahead of its local competitors. Sophomore Hannah Miller broke 20 minutes for a personal record of 19:58 to take fourth overall. Senior Christopher Cullen also set a personal record on the 5K course, running a time of 17:16 for a top 20 performance.

The Sturgeon Bay girls cross country team posted another strong performance on Thursday at the Green Bay Preble Tom Finlan Memorial Invitaitonal at Josten Park. Julia Kurek led the Clippers once again in the 5K distance, completing the course in a time of 21:33 to come in sixth place overall. The Clippers scored 100 points, finishing behind first place Green Bay Preble (21 points) and Bonduel (55 points. Luke Selle paced the boys on the 5K course, running a time of 24:51.

 

No results have been posted for Gibraltar's race at Kiel.
