Clippers soccer takes on Redbirds on U-102.1

The Sturgeon Bay Clippers soccer team will continue its run of battling top-flight opponents on Tuesday when they head south to face De Pere.

The Clippers went 0-1-1 on the weekend, playing The Prairie School to a 3-3 draw before falling to Kenosha Tremper 2-1. The loss to Tremper halted a five-match unbeaten streak (2-0-3) for the Clippers that saw them outscore opponents 16-5.

The Redbirds are 2-1-1 on the season, including a 2-0 win over their crosstown rivals West De Pere last week. They are unbeaten in their two matches at home so far this season.

Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin will have the call on U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the first kick at 6:30 p.m.

Other local soccer games include Luxemburg-Casco traveling to Wrightstown, Kewaunee visiting Howards Grove, and Algoma sailing to Marinette. Those games will kickoff at 4:30 p.m. at their respective locations.
