The Packerland Conference held a track meet in Algoma on Tuesday and local runners had a successful outing. In the Boys 5,000 meters varsity run, Southern Door Ben Grota finished third with an 18:23.06 time with James Joski of Kewaunee taking sixth with a 19:28.22 time.
In the Girls Meet, Hannah Miller of Kewaunee took top honors with a time of 20:14.47. Julia Kurek came in second with a time of 20:17.44 for Sturgeon Bay and Naomi Rikkola of Sevastopol came in third at 21:11.94.
The official team scores had NEWCHAA Homeschool winning with a score of 23 in the boys and Sevastopol taking the girls top spot with a 32. Kewaunee finished second with a 60 and Sturgeon Bay took third with a 61.
