Brewers stay hot with win over Miami

Another strong starting pitching performance carried the Milwaukee Brewers to another win on Tuesday night.  Freddy Peralta went 6.1 innings allowing only a home run in the first inning to lead the Brewers to a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins.

Milwaukee’s “Big Three” pitchers, Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, and Peralta allowed only eight hits in the last three games.

Newly acquired Brewer Josh Donaldson hit a tie-breaking solo home run in the fourth inning and the Brewer bullpen was able to make it hold up with 2.2 innings of no-hit pitching.

Donaldson led the Brewer attack with two hits and Devin Williams came on in the ninth to pick up his 33rd save of the season.

The Brewers and Marlins with play game three of the four-game series Wednesday night with Trevor Megill (1-0) taking the mound for Milwaukee and Braxton Garrett (8-6) for Miami.  First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m.
