Impressive efforts led to even better results for local cross country teams as all seven schools traveled to Mishicot for its Bremser Invitational.
In the large school division, Luxemburg-Casco was the top local school in both the boys and girls races with the Spartans' Derek Christoph (18:27) and the Clippers' Julia Kurek (20:03) running personal records to lead their respective teams and area finishers on the 5K course.
In the small school division, the Sevastopol girls nearly won the meet, finishing just eight points behind Cedar Grove-Belgium with 82 points to come in second place. Both of the top area runners in the small school races hailed from Kewaunee and finished with personal records on the day. Hannah Miller won the race with a time of 19:26 and Christopher Cullen finished in second place with a 16:58.
