Luxemburg-Casco battles Denmark in homecoming football tilt

Homecoming festivities will be in the air on Thursday night when Luxemburg-Casco plays NEC rival Denmark.

Last week, the Spartans overcame a 14-point deficit to beat the Freedom Irish 24-14 to stay perfect in the North Eastern Conference play. Down 14-0, the Spartans started a string of 24 unanswered points with a touchdown before halftime on a 14-yard touchdown run by quarterback Max Ronsman with 2:51 left in the second quarter.

The Vikings have stumbled to a 1-5 start, including losing their last four games. A fourth-quarter touchdown run by Steven Kielpikowski kept the Vikings from being shut out at home, eventually losing the game 41-7 to Wrightstown.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
