The Luxemburg-Casco volleyball team picked up valuable experience on Saturday, playing in the Dasher Invite hosted by Divine Savior Holy Angels.

They dropped both of their matches in pool play, losing to Chippewa Falls 29-31, 25-14, 13-15, and DSHA 16-25, 10-25. They responded in the bronze bracket, beating Whitefish Bay 25-13, 25-11 and Kettle Moraine Lutheran 25-16, 26-28, 15-11.

Leading the way for the Spartans were Alayna Deprez (90 assists, 22 digs), Aubrey Frey (28 kills, 48 digs, 7 aces), Jacinda Bennett (23 kills, 5 blocks), Ella Vander Velden (18 kills), Miranda Schmidt (17 kills), and Payton Kaminski (41 digs, 5 aces).

Head coach Jeff Frey was happy with how his team performed, adding that he "really liked the way we battle in our match against a really good Chippewa Falls team.  It's why we head south so much, to play good competition.  We got better today which is what you’re looking for this time of the year."
