The Door County United swim team will hit the pool Saturday morning for an invitational featuring over a dozen teams.
Berlin, Brown Deer, Grafton, Greendale, Kohler, McFarland, New Berlin West, Plymouth, Port Washington, Sheboygan South, Whitefish Bay, Whitnall, Berlin/Green Lake, Granton, Edgewood, New Berlin Eisenhower, and Baraboo are all scheduled to compete in the meet when it starts at Shorewood High School.
Earlier this week, the DCU varsity team scored 104 points to Seymour’s 60 points. The seniors, Aurora Breci (SEV), Cata Gobbato (SEV), Cassie Rankin (SEV), Danica Neville (SDHS), Hannah Schley (SDHS), Natalia Michalski (SBHS), and Paula Wienke (SBHS), were acknowledged during this meet. This team would not be nearly as successful as it is without the help of all the seniors.
Other than the seniors, swimmer Kailyn Neville (SDHS) had a fantastic meet with her second-place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.61. Chloe Bissen (SBHS) finished first in the 100 back with a time of 1:13.62. She beat her competitor from Seymour by three-hundredths of a second.
