Hundreds of runners will run the length of the peninsula this Saturday for the annual Fall 50 Race.
While many runners will tackle the 50-mile course as a part of a relay, dozens will run the course in its entirety. All solo runners will begin at 6:30 a.m. to afford them the maximum amount of daylight possible to complete the event, while the relay teams will start at 7:30 a.m., 8:20 a.m., 9:10 a.m., and 10:00 a.m., depending on how fast they are.
The course will be open to vehicular traffic, so runners and motorists must pay attention to each other to ensure safety. You can see a map of the course by clicking this link.
You can also contact the race for the number of volunteer opportunities that still need to be filled before Saturday's race.
