Thursday wins set up Sturgeon Bay, Gibraltar/Sevastopol regional final

Two Door County teams will battle for a berth into sectionals for the WIAA Soccer Tournament.

The Sturgeon Bay soccer team will make its now traditional stop in the regional championship game on Saturday after topping Kewaunee 7-2 in front of its home fans.

The Gibraltar/Sevastopol soccer team will have a much shorter drive for their regional championship bid after snagging a 2-1 victory against Lourdes Academy/Valley Christian on Thursday night.

U-102.1 and NEWRadioSportsNetwork will cover Saturday's regional final between the Clippers and the United beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening kick at 7 p.m.

The Luxemburg-Casco soccer team saw their season end on Thursday night in a 3-0 loss to Kewaskum.

The Algoma Wolves soccer team could not register the upset Thursday night, losing to top-seeded St. Mary Catholic 7-0.
