After initially balking at signing an extension with the Milwaukee Bucks earlier this year, star player Giannis Antetokounmpo has committed to the team that drafted him.
Reports say that Antetokounmpo signed a $186 million extension that will keep him in Milwaukee for another three years. According to ESPN, the contract puts him in sync with Damian Lillard's tenure with the team and gives him another chance at free agency in 2025.
Antetokounmpo has won the league MVP twice and the Finals MVP award in 2021.
The Bucks open their season on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
