Girls basketball opens Monday

After a couple of weeks of rest following the end of the volleyball and cross-country seasons, many local athletes will return to practice for the start of the girls' basketball season.

 

There will be some new faces leading their respective teams this year, including Gibraltar's Evan DeBroux, Sturgeon Bay's Dan Tjernagel, and Luxemburg-Casco's Beth Budnik. 

 

The region last saw girls' basketball on March 2nd when Sevastopol advanced to the sectional round of the WIAA Girls Basketball Tournament before falling to Wabeno-Laona in Crivitz.

 

Below are the first games for each respective team:

Sevastopol vs. Hilbert 11/16

Algoma vs. Bonduel 11/14

Gibraltar at Hilbert 11/20

Kewaunee at Wrightstown 11/16

Southern Door vs. Peshtigo 11/28

Sturgeon Bay at Chilton 11/16

Luxemburg-Casco vs. Marinette 11/21
