Big first period paces Gamblers

Three first-period goals were all the Green Bay Gamblers would need to secure a victory against the Lincoln Stars Friday night, winning the game 5-2.

Chris Romaine, Brady Zugec, and Libor Nemec tallied the goals in the first period to give the Gamblers a 3-0 lead at intermission. The Gamblers and the Stars would trade goals throughout the third period with Josh Player and Michael DeAngelo getting on the scoreboard for the home team.

Chicago Blackhawks draft pick Adam Gajan picked up the win for the Gamblers, stopping 37 of 39 shots.

The two teams are back at it at the Resch Center Saturday night for a 6:05 p.m. puck drop.
