With the exception of the members of the state championship game-bound Luxemburg-Casco Spartans, plenty of athletes will head to their first practice on Monday.

Boys swimming and diving, wrestling, and boys basketball all get underway on Monday. It gives them about a week to get tuned up for the start of their respective seasons. Swimmers and basketball players will have their first competition on November 21st, while wrestlers start their regular season on November 24th.

The wait is almost over for the area's girls' basketball teams. Some of the local teams will have their first games on Tuesday.
