Phoenix men head to Valpo

After a one-game reprieve at home, the Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team will face off against an old Horizon League foe in Valparaiso on Tuesday night.

Both teams have split their first two games of the season entering the contest. The Phoenix was nearly doubled up by Iowa State before beating St. Francis (Ill.).  The Beacons earned a win over Trinity Christian in their season opener before falling to IUPUI. Both teams are also playing with first-year coaches at the helm, with Sundance Wicks leading the Phoenix and Illinois legend Roger Powell Jr. commanding the Beacons.

The Phoenix are 30-25 all-time against the Beacons. They have not played each other since the Beacons bolted the Horizon League for the Missouri Valley Conference in 2017.
