A streak of six straight games away from the Kress Events Center begins on Thursday for the Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team when they visit Omaha to take on Creighton.
The Phoenix rebounded nicely from a season-opening loss to Northern Iowa with an 88-62 victory over Illinois State. Callie Genke led the Phoenix with a career-high 26 points and six rebounds in the matinee. Cassie Schiltz added 15 points and five rebounds, while Jasmine Kondrakiewicz registered 10 points and five rebounds in the victory.
The Blue Jays are ranked #22 in the nation, boasting a perfect 2-0 mark on the year. The two teams have not faced each other since 1995 as the Phoenix look for their first win in Omaha in the series' history.
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.
