The Green Bay Phoenix women's basketball team opened their six-game road trip with an extra dose of confidence moving forward as they beat #22 Creighton 65-53.
The Phoenix set the tone against the Big East power early, outscoring them 22-9 in the game's opening stanza. A 17-0 run to end the first quarter and a 10-2 run to finish the second quarter gave the Phoenix a nine-point lead at the break. Maddy Schreiber led the Phoenix with 14 points, and Callie Genke added 11 points off the bench. Luxemburg-Casco product Cassie Schiltz also reached double figures, scoring 10 points along with four assists.
