The Luxemburg-Casco football team earned the silver ball, but the community made them feel like gold Friday when they brought it home.

Revelers lined Main Street in Luxemburg to welcome back the Spartans to a champions' welcome despite the team falling to Lodi 38-14 in the state title game. The afternoon concluded at the school where players, families, and fans were able to get a close-up of the trophy itself and celebrate the team's accomplishments.

The Spartans' winter sports seasons will finally get underway on Tuesday when the girls' basketball team hosts Marinette.
