All of the area's wrestling teams will be in action on Saturday for a variety of individual and team tournaments.
The Sturgeon Bay/Sevastopol and Kewaunee wrestling teams will experience the infancy of their season together on Saturday when they head to Kimberly for their first tournament of the season. SBS will compete for the first time this year, while Kewaunee just battled Two Rivers and Denmark on Thursday at Southern Door. When wrestling begins at 8 a.m., the two squads will be greeted by Appleton North, Menasha, Sun Prairie East, Ashwaubenon, Berlin, Coleman, Dodgeland, Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, Freedom, Shiocton, Manitowoc Lincoln, Merrill, and Green Lake/Princeton. The wrestling begins at 8 a.m.
Southern Door wrestlers head to Stratford for the Schoenher Duals. Stratford, DePere, Crandon, Wausau East, and Wittenberg Birnamwood all look like solid teams according to head coach Jerry Englebert. The wrestling begins at 10 a.m.
Over 40 combined appearances in the WIAA State Team Tournament will be on the mats Saturday in Luxemburg for the wrestling team's annual Luxemburg-Casco duals. The Spartans will welcome Bay Port, Port Washington, Shawano Community, Sheboygan Falls, and Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln to its gym for a day of duals against the state's historical top teams. The wrestling begins at 9 a.m.
