Packers' Love story against Chiefs leaves them enchanted

If the Green Bay Packers end up in the playoffs in January, they will remember their 27-19 win against the Kansas City Chiefs back in December.

Much of the attention before the game was focused on the arrival of celebrities such as Taylor Swift, Simone Biles, and Tony Shaloub, who donned more than just a cardigan before the cool, snowy night at Lambeau Field. The Packers first filled the blank space on the scoreboard when Jordan Love found Ben Sims for his first touchdown. After the Chiefs kicked a field goal to make it 7-3, the Packers' Christian Watson found daylight in the back of the endzone to make it 14-3 early in the second quarter. The Chiefs would score the next nine points, making it 14-12 in the third quarter, giving fans a feeling they know all too well about Patrick Mahomes' ability to score. Love and the Packers were able to shake it off and drove down to the field for his third touchdown pass of the game to extend the game out to 21-12. The Chiefs would bring it back to a two-point game when Mahomes pulled the invisible string on his only touchdown pass of the game to reserve tight end Noah Gray, putting another seven on the board. The Packers took control from there, kicking two field goals in the fourth quarter. They thought they had sealed the game when Keisean Nixon made an over-the-shoulder catch for an interception, but Mahomes would have at least one more chance to leave fans of both teams breathless. The referees would turn into an anti-hero for both teams, with a roughing the passer call going against the Packers and two potential pass interference no-calls going in their favor. The final no-call ended the game for the Packers, giving fans a crazier conclusion than they could have asked for heading into the evening as a 5.5 point underdog.

The Packers will have a second straight long week to prepare for a game as they battle the Giants say "Welcome to New York" for Monday Night Football.
