Fifth Annual Polarball Pickleball planned for New Year's Day

The Door County Pickleball Club will host the fifth Annual Polarball Pickleball event on Monday, Jan. 1, at noon at Sunset Park in Sturgeon Bay. Last year, 75 people played pickleball in sub-zero weather.

This event is open to all levels of play, and all Pickleball players – show up and have a great time. One of the largest Pickleball manufacturers in the country, Selkirk Pickleball, is sponsoring the event. Selkirk Pickleball will provide the balls and has also donated several generous Pickleball-related giveaways for the event.

Even if you don’t know how to play Pickleball, you are encouraged to stop by to see why Pickleball has become the fastest-growing sport in the nation and in Door County.

This event started with just a few participants 5 years ago and has grown to one of Wisconsin's most widely known outdoor Pickleball events on Jan. 1.
